The Sacramento Kings have signed guard David Stockton through next season, the team announced Sunday

Stockton, 23, is the son of Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton. He went undrafted out of Gonzaga in 2014.

[daily_cut.NBA]Stockton was signed to a 10-day contract in February and made only one appearance before returning to the D-League. In 43 D-League games with the Reno Bighorns, he averaged 20.1 points and 9.4 assists per game while shooting 46.1% from the field and 39.8% on three-pointers.

Earlier this season, the Kings signed Stockton's Reno teammate, Sim Bhullar

Stockton played seven minutes in Sunday's loss to the Denver Nuggets. He had two points and one assist.
