Jerryd Bayless beat Rose for a buzzer-beating game-winning layup to lift Milwaukee to a 92-90 home victory in Game 4 on Saturday. Milwaukee avoides elimination in a first-round series that Chicago now leads 3-1.

With 1.3 seconds left and the score tied at 90, Milwaukee set up an inbounds pass on the left sideline after Khris Middleton stole the ball from Rose on Chicago's previous possession. Jared Dudley inbounded for Milwaukee, with Middleton curling from the left corner toward the top of the arc as a decoy. Dudley elected not to pass the ball to Middleton, instead waiting for Bayless to work against Rose along the baseline.

Bayless initially jogged across the paint from the weakside to the strongside, but he reversed course quickly after Dudley pump-faked the ball in his direction. Rose froze, freeing Bayless to catch the ball over his shoulder on the right block and turn into an easy layup, which he banked in as time expired. None of Chicago's other defenders was in position to provide help. All of them were pulled to the top of the key with their own defensive assignments.

The stunning shot helped Milwaukee survive a Chicago comeback. The Bulls had closed on an 11-3 run prior to Bayless's bucket.

"I put that all on me," Rose said, according to the Chicago Tribune. "Just wasn't paying attention to the ball."

Bayless came off Jason Kidd's bench to finish with 10 points, five assists and three rebounds. O.J. Mayo led the Bucks with 18 points, four assists and four steals.
