Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James hit a jumpshot from the corner as time expired to lift the Cavs over the Chicago Bulls in Game 4 of their playoff series.
There were 1.5 seconds on the clock when James caught the ball on an inbounds pass from Matthew Dellavedova. He rose above Jimmy Butler and sunk the deep two-pointer with no time left on the clock to pull the Cavaliers even in the series. Coach David Blatt attempted to call a timeout before the Cavaliers advanced the ball, even though he had none remaining. Assistant coach Tyronn Lue smartly pulled Blatt back toward the sidelines to avoid a technical foul.
James was called for an offensive foul with 14 seconds left and Cleveland up by two points, allowing Derrick Rose to tie the game on a layup with 9.4 seconds left to play.
James led the Cavaliers with 25 points and added 14 rebounds and eight assists. He also had eight turnovers.
The series is tied 2-2. Game 5 is Tuesday night in Cleveland.
