The Orlando Magic will have a deal in place with coach Scott Skiles by the end of Friday "if they have their way," reports ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

The 51-year-old Skiles has a 443–433 record in 13 seasons coaching the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks. He last coached in the NBA during the 2012–2013 season.

Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday that Skiles was close to agreeing to a deal with the Magic and that the two sides would continue talking in hopes of starting contract negotiations.

The Magic turned their focus to Skiles after meeting with Los Angeles Clippers assistant Mike Woodson last weekend, according to the report.
