Report: Under Armour files to trademark Stephen Curry slogans

Under Armour has reportedly filed to trademark several slogans related to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.

Under Armour has filed to trademark several slogans related to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, reports ESPN. 

The slogans the company filed to trademark include “Charged By Belief,” “Fall Back,” “The Game's New Creative Genius,” “The Patron Saint of Underdogs,” “Baby-Faced Assassin” and “The League's Most Unguardable Player,” according to ESPN.

Under Armour signed Curry in 2013. Last month, it filed to trademark the Stephen Curry “S3C” logo it has been using on merchandise, according to ESPN. 

Curry was named the 2014–15 NBA Most Valuable Player after averaging 23.8 points, 7.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. In April, the 27-year-old broke his own NBA record for most three-pointers in one season. He recently set the NBA record for made three-pointers in one postseason as well.

In January, Under Armour released Curry’s first signature shoe for the brand, called the Curry One.

The Warriors play the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals starting on June 4.
