Golden State Warriors capture first NBA title in 40 years
Wednesday June 17th, 2015

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James was mentioned on Facebook twice as often as any other player during the NBA Finals, according to data released by Facebook on Wednesday.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry the second-most mentioned player, followed by Matthew Dellavedova and Kyrie Irving of the Cavs. NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala was the fifth-most mentioned player.

James averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists in the series, accounting for 38.3% of Cleveland's points. Only Michael Jordan in 1993 scored a higher percentage of his team's points in an NBA Finals.

The decisive Game 6 was talked about by 9.4 million people, more than any other game.

The title was Golden State's first in 40 years, while Cleveland has never won an NBA championship.
