Hawks draft shooting guard Eriksson in 2nd round

ATLANTA (AP) The Atlanta Hawks have drafted shooting guard Marcus Eriksson of Sweden with the 50th pick of the NBA draft.

General manager Wes Wilcox said that Eriksson missed last season with a torn knee ligament and is still under contract with Barcelona.

Wilcox added that the 6-foot-7, 178-pound Eriksson will spend next season playing overseas.

Eriksson was the Hawks' first draft pick of Thursday after the team traded the No. 15 spot to Washington for two second-round picks and the 19th spot to New York for guard Tim Hardaway Jr.
