Pistons agree to five-year, $80 million deal with Reggie Jackson
Reggie Jackson has agreed to a five-year, $80 million contract extension to remain with the Detroit Pistons, Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Jackson, 25, was acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder in a three-way trade this February. He started all 27 games he played for the Pistons after the trade, averaging 17.6 points, 9.2 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. He is a restricted free agent this summer.
Jackson spent his first three-plus seasons in the NBA with the Thunder and is widely reported to have turned down an extension worth $48 million over four years last summer.
Jackson backed up Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City, averaging 21.1 minutes per game. After being traded, he moved into a starting role and saw his playing time increased by more than 11 minutes per game.
