Brooklyn Nets forward Thomas Robinson sustained a small meniscus tear in his right knee during workouts on Tuesday and will undergo arthroscopic surgery, the team announced on Tuesday.

The surgery will occur on Wednesday.

The Nets signed Robinson to a two-year deal earlier this month. The 24-year-old averaged 5.7 points and 5.6 rebounds last season in time split between the Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Robinson later tweeted “I'll be fine minor setback literally” on Tuesday.

The Nets finished 38–44 in 2014–15, losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.
