Los Angeles Clippers release new Staples Center court design
After introducing a new logo earlier this year, the Los Angeles Clippers released the designs for their new home court at the Staples Center Saturday.
ESPN's Arash Markazi tweeted the photos Saturday afternoon. The new court implements the new logo at center court, with ‘LA Clippers’ on both baselines, American Airlines sponsorship on the sideline and ‘Clipper Nation’ at center court. The heavy use of black is perhaps the most unique thing here, aside from the logo and newly stylized font. According to the team, the black will be present in the new uniform designs as well, which have yet to be revealed.
In descriptions, the Clippers highlight the ‘Nautical Roots’ of the team's name with curved lines on the baselines alluding to the horizon of the ocean.
Opinions on the new logo may still be mixed, but you can't deny the team is making the effort.
