The Cavaliers have signed center Jack Cooley to a training camp contract, the team announced on Saturday. The terms of the deal have not been released.

The power forward will join a group of big men that includes Timofey Mozgov, Sasha Kaun, Anderson Varejao and Kevin Love as the team prepares to cut its roster down to begin the regular season.

Cooley played 16 games for the Jazz last season, averaging 5.4 minutes per game. He also appeared in 20 games for the D–League’s Idaho Stampede, averaging 16.8 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Cleveland has said they plan to keep a full 20-man roster until the end of preseason and have 13 spots guaranteed, not accounting for Tristan Thompson, who still hopes to sign a new contract with the team while holding out from training camp, according to Cleveland.com.
