Greg Oden made a strong debut with the Chinese Basketball Association’s Jiangsu Dragons.

The former No. 1 pick took the court for the team’s first preseason game and scored 23 points and 14 rebounds, with several dunks and even stepped out for a midrange jumper.

After all Oden has been through with his knee issues and the success (both professional and personal) Americans like Stephon Marbury have had in the Chinese League, a resurgence overseas would be a welcome turn in his story. He’s still just 27, and if he can put together some type of record of clean health combined with strong play, an NBA return may not be out of the question.
