Stephen Curry reminded everyone why he was the MVP in 2014-15, and for the second time this week, the Pelicans were his victims.

Curry followed up his opening-night 40-point performance with 53 on Saturday, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 134–120 win. He added nine assists, four rebounds and four steals to go with eight three-pointers and a perfect 11 for 11 from the foul line.

This was the third 50-point game of Curry’s career, after he scored 54 against the Knicks in 2013 and 51 against the Mavericks in February last season. His performance marked the most points scored for a player since Russell Westbrook put up 54 against the Pacers in April.

As one might have guessed, Curry was again spectacular, scoring a career-high 28 points in the third quarter (and outscoring the entire Pelicans team 28-26 in the process).

That included this shot.

He flashed his deep range.

Curry was also throwing some spectacular assists.

The Warriors are undefeated through three games and next host the Grizzlies on Monday.
