Miami Heat guard Gerald Green was taken to the hospital Wednesday, the team announced, though no further details were provided.

The Miami Herald reported that Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue requested assistance at a condo near the Heat’s arena due to a “combative patient.” The Herald also reported that Heat point guard Mario Chalmers went to see Green at the hospital.

The Heat left Miami Wednesday afternoon for a two-game road trip to Minnesota and Indiana.

Green, 29, signed a one-year deal with Miami this off-season and spending the past two years with the Suns. In three games this season, Green has played an average of 21.7 minutes off the bench and scored 10.3 points per game.
