Watch: Knicks’ Kristaps Porzingis with putback slam over Cavs’ Kevin Love

New York Knicks rookie forward Kristaps Porzingis dunked home a putback slam over Cavaliers’ Kevin Love.

New York Knicks rookie forward Kristaps Porzingis added another name to his list of putback dunk victims Wednesday.

Earlier this week, Porzingis grabbed an offensive rebound and slammed a dunk over San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge. Against the Cavaliers, Porzingis targeted another highly-paid power forward, stealing a board from Kevin Love and scoring off a putback slam.

Stealing a rebound from Love is no easy task—the Cavaliers forward has averaged nearly 12 boards a game in his career. Porzingis, the fourth pick in July’s draft, has tantalized Knicks fans with his athleticism early this season. The Latvia-native was averaging 11.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in New York’s first four games, including 16 points in his NBA debut.

The Knicks lost to the Cavaliers 96–86. LeBron James scored a game-high 23 points while taking out some frustration on his jersey sleeves over early shooting troubles. Porzingis posted 13 points on 6-for-11 shooting and four rebounds.
