Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler will miss the season with a labral tear, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.

Chandler will have surgery on the hip injury, which occurred during the preseason, and will need six months to complete his rehabilitation process, according to the report.

The 28-year-old swingman signed a four-year, $46.5 million contract extension over the summer. He had yet to appear in a game this season after averaging 13.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in 78 games in 2014-15.

This is Chandler’s second hip surgery, as he underwent another hip procedure in May ’12. He will reportedly have the surgery early next week.

The Nuggets are 3–4 and host the Bucks Wednesday night.
