In Thursday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Curry scored 21 points in the first quarter to lead his team in scoring. Golden State raced out to a 40–27 lead in Minnesota. The Warriors, led by Curry’s 46 points, held off the Timberwolves for a 129–116 win. The victory gave Golden State a franchise-record 10th win to start a season. They’re the fourth defending champion to start a season with at least 10 straight wins.

Curry hit 15 of his 25 shots, with eight of them three-pointers. Draymond Green added 23 points and 12 rebounds. No. 1 pick Karl-Anthony Towns posted a double double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and Andrew Wiggins scored 19 points for Minnesota.

Curry entered Thursday averaging 31.9 points, 5.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds and shooting 45% from three this season. The Warriors are ranked No. 1 in Sports Illustrated’s NBA Power Rankings this week.
