Watch: Heat’s Dwyane Wade draws foul call after staring at referee

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade probably received the benefit of his star status Monday night.
Wade seemingly earned a foul call against New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis by merely staring at referee Ken Mauer. While trying to advance the ball in the backcourt, Wade was bumped by Porzingis. Wade immediately stopped and looked toward Mauer, who ran up to call a foul.
It was probably a learning moment for Porzingis, who may earn such calls one day if he keeps up his current level of play.
Wade finished the game with 16 points in a 95–78 Heat win. He was outscored by his fellow class of 2003 draftee Carmelo Anthony, who scored 21 in a losing effort. Porzingis recorded a double double with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
