Nets' Hollis-Jefferson to have surgery for ankle fracture

NEW YORK (AP) Brooklyn Nets rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will have surgery later this week to repair a broken ankle.

The Nets said Monday that the swingman was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture of the posterior talus in his right ankle and that a timetable for his return would be established after the procedure.

Hollis-Jefferson was hurt during practice Saturday.

Hollis-Jefferson has averaged 5.2 points and 6.1 rebounds in 19 games this season, including 14 starts. Bojan Bogdanovic replaced him in the lineup Sunday in a loss to Golden State.
