Claveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert left Tuesday’s game against the Boston Celtics with a right groin injury and will not return, the team announced.

Shumpert returned to the Cavaliers’ lineup last Friday after missing the first 21 games of the year with a wrist injury. Across the two games he played, he totaled 39 minutes and went 7 of 9 from the field for 20 points with four rebounds.

The New York Knicks took Shumpert in the first round of the 2011 NBA draft, and traded him to Cleveland last year along with J.R. Smith after over three seasons with the team.

Smith played the majority of the minutes at shooting guard with Shumpert out earlier this year.
