Memphis Grizzlies center Brandan Wright will undergo surgery on his injured right knee and miss six to eight weeks, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
Wright, who signed a multi-year deal with the Grizzlies this past off-season, hasn’t played since hurting his knee in a game against the Jazz on Nov. 7.
Before the injury, he averaged 6.6 points and 3.4 rebounds in seven games.

A nine-year veteran, Wright was taken by the Charlotte Bobcats with the No. 8 pick in the 2007 draft, and traded to the Golden State Warriors on the same evening.
He spent time with the Nets, Mavericks and Suns before landing in Memphis.
