Near–perfect Warriors dominating NBA League Pass viewership
The 24–1 Golden State Warriors are by far the NBA’s most popular team on League Pass this season.
The NBA announced Wednesday that the Warriors are its most-purchased franchise for the “Team Pass” option (allows viewers access to all out-of-market games for one team) and that Golden State’s games are the most purchased within the single-game option. The league also said that seven of the 10 most-viewed games this season on League Pass involved Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and company.
It's not surprising that the fast-paced, sharpshooting defending champions have captivated the interest of fans. The Warriors started the season 24–0 before falling to the Bucks on Saturday.
Somewhat surprisingly, the second most-popular team in terms of single game views is the 4–21 Los Angeles Lakers, whose popularity on League Pass is likely tied to Kobe Bryant’s pending retirement.
