Celtics guard R.J. Hunter hit a half-court shot against the Timberwolves and his dad starting thinking back to his NCAA tournament heroics.
At the end of the first quarter against the Timberwolves, Hunter drained a shot from behind the halfcourt line.
Wait a second, where have we seen that before?
When Hunter hit an eerily similar shot to upset Baylor in the first round of last year’s NCAA tournament, his father, Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter—coaching from a stool after he tore his Achilles tendon celebrating the Panthers’ tournament berth—fell to ground in hysteria. He claimed to have suffered a similar fate on Monday.
I think my son just hit a half ct shot and I almost fell off the couch— Ron Hunter (@coachrhunter) December 22, 2015
Somebody get Ron a seatbelt.
