Faried 'much better' after neck injury against Warriors

DENVER (AP) Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried says he's ''doing much better'' after being taken off the court on a stretcher with a neck injury following a loss to Golden State the night before.

Faried posted on Instagram on Sunday he's ''a little sore, but I'm the Manimal - I'm not going to (let) this keep me down & out long!'' The Nuggets had no immediate update. The team plays Sunday against Portland.

Faried took an elbow to the back of the neck while fighting for a rebound late in overtime. He rubbed his neck before lying down at the end of Denver's bench.

He was later removed from the court on a stretcher and taken to a hospital as a precaution while the Nuggets flew home.
