Durant out vs. Kings with sprained right big toe

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant sat out Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings with a sprained right big toe.

Thunder coach Billy Donovan said Durant injured the toe when he accidentally kicked someone during the game at Charlotte on Saturday. Donovan said before Monday's game that he doesn't consider it serious, and he considers Durant as day to day.

Durant missed most of last season with a broken bone in his right foot that required three operations.

Durant was named co-Western Conference player of the month with teammate Russell Westbrook earlier in the day. Durant averaged 24.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 50.8 percent from the field. He helped the Thunder go 12-3 in December, and he reached the 20-point mark in all 15 games.
