Warriors’ Stephen Curry (shin contusion) starts vs. Hornets

Tuesday January 5th, 2016

Warriors guard Stephen Curry will return to the starting lineup on Monday night against the Hornets, two days after leaving the game when his shin injury flared up again.

Curry missed two games last week with a bruised shin and returned to the floor against the Nuggets on Saturday. He exited in the second quarter after being kicked in the same shin by Jameer Nelson.

Curry, the reigning NBA MVP, is averaging a league-high 29.7 points per game this season to go along with 6.4 assists and 5.5 rebounds. The Warriors are 31–2 on the season and 1–1 without Curry, falling 114–91 to the Mavericks Wednesday and bouncing back 114–110 against the Rockets.
