AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) The Detroit Pistons are honoring one of their recent stars when they host defending champion Golden State on Saturday night.

Ben Wallace will have his jersey retired by the Pistons. He says he hopes that honor will help him be remembered years from now.

Pistons fans certainly won't forget Wallace any time soon. He played nine seasons with the Pistons, helping the team win the NBA title in 2004. He was one of the league's top rebounders and won defensive player of the year honors four times in a five-year span from 2002-06.
