Watch: Pelicans beat Hornets on beautiful alley-oop to Anthony Davis

The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Charlotte Hornets on a game-winning alley-oop to Anthony Davis.

With 2.0 seconds remaining and the New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte Hornets deadlocked at 107 on Friday night, Anthony Davis soared high above the visiting defense to flush the game-winning lob from Jrue Holiday.

Davis’s eyes were even with the rim as he clinched the victory, the exclamation point to a gorgeous high pick-and-roll designed by noted offensive guru head coach Alvin Gentry. The Hornets’ Nicolas Batum missed a difficult three-point look at the buzzer.

Davis finished with 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Holiday scored 13 points while adding 10 assists and six boards in 27 minutes off the bench.
