Evans listed back in lineup for Pelicans vs Wolves

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Tyreke Evans has been listed as a starter for New Orleans' game Tuesday night against Minnesota after sitting out the Pelicans' loss at Memphis on Monday night with right knee soreness.

Evans has been dealing with knee soreness for several weeks but has mostly played through it since missing a game at Dallas on Jan. 2.

The 6-foot-6 Evans primarily plays point guard under new coach Alvin Gentry and is averaging 15.7 points, 6.7 assists and 5.6 rebounds this season.

Gentry says Evans ''probably has pain'' but is ''an extremely tough guy'' who tries to play whenever he can. Gentry says he appreciates Evans' inclination to play through pain but says that he'll monitor the 26-year-old, seventh-year veteran to try to make sure he doesn't unduly worsen his injury.
