After a 96–83 loss to the Bulls, new coach Tyronn Lue called out the Cavaliers for being out of shape.

“I just don’t think we’re in good enough shape,” he told reporters postgame. “I think we got tired. LeBron came out early, [Kyrie Irving] came out early, Kevin [Love] wanted to come out early. I just don’t think we’re in good enough shape right now to play in the style that we want to play.”

Cleveland struggled offensively all game and missed its first 16 shots to end the first quarter. The Bulls went up by as much as 17 in the second half with boos coming from the Cleveland crowd to end the third quarter.

This comes on the heels of several notable comments from Lue. Earlier on Saturday, he said that ex-Cavs coach David Blatt should coach in the All-Star Game. He also said he’d do some things “better,” not “differently,” than Blatt.
