Cavaliers forward LeBron James said Monday that he couldn’t be a head coach in the NBA after he retires from playing.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James said Monday that he couldn’t be a head coach in the NBA after he retires from playing, reports Cleveland.com’s Chris Haynes.

“Man, I couldn’t be a head coach,” James said. “Boy, I’ll get blamed for every little thing. Can you imagine that? Please.”

James’s comment comes in the wake of Jeff Hornacek’s firing from his head coaching position with the Phoenix Suns on Monday. Hornacek, who was replaced by Earl Watson in an interim capacity, was fired after Phoenix’s 14–35 start to the season.

On Jan. 22, James’s former coach David Blatt was also fired, despite leading Cleveland to the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings. He was replaced by assistant Tyronn Lue.

James, a 13-year NBA veteran, is averaging 24.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game this season for the 34–12 Cavs.
