Bulls guard Jimmy Butler out 3-4 weeks with knee strain
Tuesday February 9th, 2016

Bulls forward Pau Gasol will replace injured guard Jimmy Butler on the Eastern Conference NBA All-Star team, the league announced on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the team announced Butler would miss 3-4 weeks with a strained left knee that he sustained on Feb. 6, which will keep him out for Sunday’s All-Star Game.

This is the sixth career All-Star selection for Gasol, who is averaging 17.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocks this season.

Reports: ‘Strong belief’ Phil Jackson will leave Knicks, return to Lakers

The 65th NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET in Toronto.
