Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant fought back tears and choked up while commenting on the death of assistant coach Monty Williams' wife, Ingrid.

Ingrid Williams died Wednesday after suffering injuries during an automobile accident on Tuesday night. Williams, 44, was involved in the accident after she was hit by a woman who crossed over the center lane. The mother of five was taken to a hospital where she was treated for life-threatening injuries before dying.

Watch Durant's response after being asked about Ingrid Williams on Thursday:

“I feel for him man,” Durant said. “He's someone we all love. I just don't know what to say, I'm sorry.”

Monty Williams was the head coach of the New Orleans Hornets, and later the Pelicans, from 2010–15 before joining Billy Donovan’s staff in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder will hold a moment of silence prior to Thursday night's game against the Pelicans, according to Royce Young of ESPN.com.
