With a perfect final rack, Klay Thompson knocked off teammate Stephen Curry to win the NBA’s 2016 Three-Point Contest.

Thompson defeated Curry, the reigning MVP and contest champion, by a score of 27–23 in the final. Thompson’s mark of 27 tied the record for most points in a round, set by Curry last year.

It was Curry who stole the show early on, drilling 10 threes in a row and effortlessly hitting two shots before the buzzer sounded to advance into the final round with Thompson and Suns guard Devin Booker.

Thompson thought he’d steered clear of Curry until his last-second heroics.
