NEW ORLEANS (AP) The Pelicans have brought back guard Bryce Dejean-Jones, who played regularly under back-to-back, 10-day contracts with New Orleans leading up to last weekend's All-Star break.

In a related move Friday, New Orleans has waived forward Jarnell Stokes, who'd been acquired along with cash from Miami in exchange for a second-round draft choice shortly before Thursday's NBA trade deadline.

The 6-foot-6 Dejean-Jones has played in 11 games with New Orleans, starting eight, and has averaged 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in about 20 minutes per game.

He first joined the Pelicans last summer as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State, but was waived shortly before the regular season. He rejoined New Orleans in January, two days after guard Eric Gordon was sidelined by a broken finger.
