Report: Three-team trade for Donatas Motiejunas voided

The Houston Rockets' three-team trade of Donatas Motiejunas is in process of being voided by the Detroit Pistons in accordance with the NBA, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

The deal was jeopardized after team doctors found Motiejunas' back issues that have limited him to just 18 games between the NBA and D-League this season, Charania reports. Motiejunas has not been cleared to play, which may hold up the deal.

The Pistons acquired Motiejunas at the trade deadline along with Marcus Thornton from the Rockets in exchange for Joel Anthony, who was shipped to the Philadelphia 76ers, and a top-eight protected first-round draft pick.

Trades need to be completed 72 hours after they are agreed upon. The Pistons reportedly asked for a 24–hour extension.
