NEW ORLEANS (AP) New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce Dejean-Jones, who has been a fill-in starter much of the past month, has a fractured right wrist and is scheduled for surgery on Friday.

The Pelicans say MRI results Thursday revealed the injury. There is no timetable for his return.

The 6-foot-6 Jones has played in 14 games, starting 11, and has averaged 5.6 points and 3.4 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per game.

Dejean-Jones injury is the latest to a club that has lost small forward Quincy Pondexter (left knee) and guard Tyreke Evans (right knee) for the season and is also temporarily without guard Eric Gordon (fractured right ring finger) and center Omer Asik (sprained right ankle).
