NEW ORLEANS (AP) New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will miss Saturday night's game against Minnesota after injuring his right foot during pregame warm-ups.

The All-NBA first-team selection from last year is averaging 24.0 points and 10.3 rebounds. He scored 59 points with 20 rebounds on Feb. 21 at Detroit.

He joined Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille O'Neal as the only players in NBA history with at least 55 points and 20 rebounds in one game and the fourth in the last 40 years to score at least 50 points with 20 rebounds.

This will be the seventh game Davis has missed this season. The Pelicans announced they would give an update on Davis following further medical evaluation.

New Orleans at 23-34 is on the outside looking for a Western Conference playoff spot, trailing eighth-place Houston by 5 1/2 games.
