Report: Ex-Wolves guard Kevin Martin agrees to deal with Spurs

Ex-Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin has reportedly agreed to a deal with the San Antonio Spursreports Marc Stein of ESPN.

Reports have linked Martin to San Antonio for several days.

Martin, 33, had his contract bought out by Minnesota earlier this week, and had intentions of signing with a playoff team. The Spurs recently added another buyout, Andre Miller, and would need to clear a roster spot to add him.

The Spurs, with Manu Ginobili nursing an injury, could benefit from added depth on the wing. Rookie Jonathon Simmons, Kyle Anderson and veteran Rasual Butler remain the main options behind Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.

Martin is averaging 10.6 points per game this season.
