Heat guard Dwyane Wade joined the 20,000-point club on Saturday with a first-quarter floater against the Cavaliers.

Wade became the 41st player to score 20,000 in his career, and did so in his 844th career game. During the following stoppage in play, Wade and LeBron James embraced, and Wade received a standing ovation from the crowd in Miami.

Wade entered the game averaging 23.7 points over his career, which ranks fifth among active players.

“To know that I've scored 20,000-plus points in one uniform is the most special thing. ... I thank Heat Nation,” Wade said after the game, according to the Associated Press’ Tim Reynolds.
