Spurs beat Pelicans, set NBA record with 38–0 home start

The San Antonio Spurs set an NBA record by improving to 38–0 at home with their 100–92 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.
The Spurs surpassed a mark that was previously held by the 1995–96 Chicago Bulls. The team, led by Michael Jordan, won their first 37 home games before losing to the Sacramento Kings 98–97 on April 8, 1996. They finished the season with a 39–2 record at home. The team holds the record for most wins in a season with their 72–10 record, which may soon be eclipsed by the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors are 68–7 after beating the Utah Jazz 103–96 in overtime. The Warriors are 37–0 at home this season with San Antonio slated to visit on April 7. Golden State will head to the AT&T Center on April 10.
The Spurs and Warriors are targeting the record for best home record in a season, which is held by the 1995–96 Boston Celtics who finished the year 40–1.
