The Golden State Warriors are on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week, along with SI’s Fashionable 50.
After tying the Bulls’ record for wins in a season, the Warriors are featured on this week’s national cover of Sports Illustrated.
The Warriors, who play the Grizzlies on Wednesday for a chance at a record-setting 73rd win, were featured on the cover last month with a story by Rick Reilly.
The Warriors took down the Spurs in San Antonio on Sunday to tie the record and deny the Spurs a chance at becoming the first time to go undefeated at home in a season. The Warriors hadn’t beaten San Antonio on the road in their last 33 tries.
The Warriors cover will be on the front of every magazine. When readers flip the issue over, they’ll find one of four covers pertaining to SI’s inaugural Fashionable 50, a new feature highlighting the best-dressed people in sports.
Four athletes are featured on the Fashionable 50 covers—Victor Cruz, Von Miller, Swin Cash and Russell Westbrook.
For the Fashionable 50, SI sought input from a panel of stylists, executives, models, journalists and other fashion industry insiders.
