Australian forward Thon Maker has been ruled eligible to enter the 2016 NBA Draft.
Australian forward Thon Maker has been ruled eligible to enter the 2016 NBA draft, reports Chad Ford of ESPN.
Maker declared for the draft a few weeks ago and was waiting for the NBA to rule on his eligibility because he had not left high school. However, Maker, 19, is the required age for a player in the draft, and did graduate in 2015 despite deciding to spend another year at Athlete Institute in Ontario, Canada.
The 7' 0", 218-pound forward is currently working with trainer Drew Hanlen in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Maker is ranked No. 22 on SI.com’s latest big board.
