NEW YORK (AP) NBA replays averaged 31.9 seconds this season and have been trimmed by more than a minute in the two years since the Replay Center opened.

The league says Friday that this season's average was down nearly 25 percent from the 42.1 seconds during the 2014-15 season. This season, current NBA referees staffed the Replay Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, and made the rulings on certain replay situations.

The NBA says a review begins when a referee on the court puts on the headset and ends upon removal.
