Knicks president Phil Jackson recently conducted a phone interview with Warriors assistant Luke Walton regarding the team’s open head coaching position, according to reports.
Warriors assistant Luke Walton is not interested in the Knicks’ open head coaching position “as of right now,” Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reports.
Carmelo Anthony, who would play under his fifth different coach in seven years if the Knicks were to move on from Rambis, has recently said he would like to have some say in the hiring. He also reportedly told the team in a meeting to “take advantage of my window.”
The Knicks finished 32–50 and missed the playoffs for a third straight season.
