Adam Silver to Stephen Curry: ‘My bad’ for missing handshake

After awkwardly leaving Stephen Curry hanging during the presentation of his MVP award on Wednesday, NBA commissioner Adam Silver tweeted his apology for the missed handshake.

After awkwardly leaving Stephen Curry hanging during the presentation of his MVP award on Wednesday, NBA commissioner Adam Silver tweeted a lighthearted apology for the missed handshake.

“My bad leaving you hanging, @StephenCurry30. Congrats again on becoming the first unanimous #KiaMVP! -Adam,” Silver tweeted from the NBA account, along with a photo of the two properly shaking hands.

After leading the Warriors to a record-breaking season, Curry became the first player to receive every first-place vote for the league’s MVP award, and the 11th to win it in consecutive years.

The Warriors eliminated the Trail Blazers from the playoffs on Wednesday and will now face the Thunder in the Western Conference finals. Game 1 will be played on Monday at Oracle Arena.
