Wizards forward Markieff Morris was detained at Philadelphia International Airport on suspicion of marijuana possession, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia reports.

According to law enforcement officials, Morris was with a group of people including his mother and checked a bag for an international flight. What was deemed a “suspicious item” was found in his suitcase, and a secondary search determined the substance to be “suspected marijuana.”

Morris was taken to the Tinicum Township Police Department for questioning and later released. Police told CSN the investigation remains ongoing.

Morris, a native of Philadelphia, averaged 12 points and 5.5 rebounds in 64 games last season between Phoenix and Washington, to whom he was traded for a conditional first rounder (now 13th in this year’s draft) at the deadline.
