After the Cavaliers’ 115–101 win over the Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, LeBron James saluted Craig Sager in his postgame interview.

When Sager told James that it was a treat to be in the building for his performance, the All-Star said that it was incredible to see the longtime sideline reporter, and saluted him.

“How in the hell did you go 30-plus years without getting a Finals game?” James asked. “That don’t make no sense!”

Sager, who is battling leukemia, worked his first career NBA Finals game on Thursday, on loan from NBA on TNT. He will not work Game 7 because he’s got plans to go play golf for Father’s Day.

The crowd, in another tribute to Sager, gave the reporter a standing ovation earlier in the game.
