The Philadelphia 76ers have informed LSU star Ben Simmons that he will be taken with the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, reports Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com.

Ben Simmons has been seen as a consensus top-two pick leading up to the draft, with the 76ers considering drafting Duke’s Brandon Ingram with their pick.

Simmons worked out with the 76ers on Tuesday morning, the only private workout he has done leading up to the draft.

The 19-year-ols was a consensus All-American last season after 19.2 points and 11.8 rebounds. He was projected as the top pick in Sports Illustrated’s latest mock draft

The draft will be broadcasted on ESPN starting at 7 p.m. ET, on Thursday.
