The Memphis Grizzlies have claimed guard Tony Wroten off waivers, reports Ian Begley of ESPN.

Wroten was most recently a member of the New York Knicks, but was released when New York announced that it had traded for Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose.

The 23-year-old played in just eight games for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015–16, averaging 8.4 points and 2.5 assists.

Wroten played well through 30 games for the 76ers in 2014–15, averaging 16.9 points, 5.2 assists and 1.6 steals. However, he missed the rest of the season after suffering a partially torn ACL.
